The great attraction of this apartment lies mainly in the amplitude of spaces and in the free movement of light. At first this was not so; its excessive compartmentalization, typical of old houses, prevented a functional distribution and made it difficult for clarity to access environments. The great change made was thought and carried out by Málamo - studio and interior architecture and decoration shop - specifically, by its director, María Lantero Moreno, who opted for the demolition of all partitions as a starting point for rehabilitation.
With the diaphanous plant as a base, the new organization adapted to the tastes and needs of its owners. Highlights the large shared space for living room, hall, dining room and office; only a few discreet walls at medium height and with glass to the ceiling delimit each room. It is the decoration itself, next to the location of the furniture and accessories, that marks the interior rhythm of the house. Thanks to this tailor-made garment, as if it were a suit, it was possible to expand, move and change. For example, the kitchen floor was projected without giving up the service area, and in the hallway, a toilet for visitors was created. In the bedrooms the change was radical; The possibility of having numerous rooms in exchange for free meters in each rest area was renounced. The result is three large spaces, each with its own private bathroom and a warm and cozy decoration.
The wallpapers that cover the rest areas and the chosen decoration, always very personal, were the keys when it came to combating the possible sensation of coldness in such wide spaces. Punctual details in intense tones personalize and balance certain spaces, such as the master bedroom, while the unit in the finishes of the whole house - white-painted oak flooring and walls covered with gray semi-lacquer or wallpaper - favor greater fluidity decorative

The integration of kitchen furniture is absolute since the space was designed globally including, even, the coverings. The walls, for example, were partly covered with a prolongation of the countertop, in white Silestone, and the other half with semi-lacquered paint in the exact tone of the fronts.
- This visual continuity was further reinforced by installing the same floor chosen for the rest of the house; It is a solid oak floor painted in white with a two-component product that waterproofs it and makes it possible to scrub the surface without problems. This finish also reflects the light and enhances the clarity of all environments.
